In Thinkertoys, Michael Michalko presents an interesting challenge: How does one identify worthwhile business/organization problems? As a leader, it is incumbent upon you to identify and address those problems that will have the greatest impact on your organization. With this in mind, let’s begin the semester with a dialogue on this topic. After you read Michalko’s book, post a beginning thread in Blackboard that describes a worthwhile problem in your organization. If your organization is trouble-free, seek out and identify a problem in another organization. As you engage one another in the dialogue, be prepared to provide reasons or criteria for why you chose to address this problem over others.
