After reading the stories, consider some of the following themes: innocence and guilt, and the social roles of men and women. How do the stories tie into these themes? What about the setting of each story? Does the timing of the story matter (for example, “A Rose for Emily” is set in the south, not long after the Civil War, and for Trifles it is the middle of winter)? Please discuss at least two of the three in your initial post.
